Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

NoSuggest is a free, open-source web application that allows users to follow YouTube channels, search for videos, save videos to watch later, and watch them — without NoSuggest pushing algorithmic recommendations or tracking your behaviour. NoSuggest will never send you notifications, autoplay videos, or suggest what to watch next. You come when you want, watch what you chose, and leave. That's the whole experience. 2. What Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information
• We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies of any kind
• We do not run any backend servers — the app runs entirely in your browser
• We do not log your usage, viewing history, or behaviour

3. Google Sign-In and YouTube Data

NoSuggest offers optional sign-in with Google to access the YouTube Data API. Here is exactly what happens:

• Sign-in is handled by Google — we never see your Google password or email
• Google issues a temporary access token to your browser. This token is stored only in your browser's memory and is never sent to any server we operate
• We use this token solely to fetch public video information from YouTube channels you add, and to search YouTube — we access no private account data
• We request only the youtube.readonly permission, which allows reading public YouTube data only — we cannot post, like, subscribe, or make any changes to your YouTube account
• Your token expires automatically (typically within 1 hour) and is cleared when you close the app

4. Data Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally in your browser's localStorage — it never leaves your device:

• The list of YouTube channels you have added (channel names and IDs)
• Videos you have saved to watch later (video ID, title, channel name, and thumbnail — never sent anywhere)
• A temporary cache of video information per channel, to reduce API usage (cleared automatically after 3 hours or via Settings)
• A marker indicating you previously signed in with Google, so the app can restore your session on reload (contains no personal data)
• Your last active tab, so the app reopens on the same screen

You can clear all stored data at any time from the app's Settings screen, or by clearing your browser's local storage.

5. Third-Party Services

NoSuggest interacts with the following third-party services:

• Google / YouTube Data API v3 — to fetch video information. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• YouTube (video playback) — videos play via YouTube's embed player. Subject to YouTube's Terms of Service
• Google Fonts — for typography. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy

We have no control over these third-party services and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy

NoSuggest does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children. The app has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server-side storage — there is nothing to collect or delete regardless of the user's age. However, video content accessed through NoSuggest is subject to YouTube's own age restrictions and terms.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. As we collect no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect you materially.

8. Your Rights

Since we store no personal data on our end, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. All locally stored data can be cleared by you directly from the app settings or your browser settings.
